Senior Management

Company president Bruce Baird has over 35 years of experience at management level in the construction industry. Bruce graduated from Algonquin College in 1970 with a diploma in Architectural Technology. He worked as draughtsman for Atomic Energy of Canada from 1970 to 1972 and for Aselford Martin Limited from 1972 to 1980 as a project manager on numerous projects from shopping centres to high-rise buildings. With Concordia Management, he worked as a project manager for the construction management of the Ottawa Civic Hospital from 1980 to 1982. Bruce founded Bruce Baird Construction Ltd. in October 1982. He received Gold Seal recognition in project management from the Canadian Construction Association in February 2001. |

F. Shawn Argue joined Baird Construction Management Ltd. as company vice president in 2006, bringing with him extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry. Shawn graduated from Algonquin College as a Civil Engineering Technologist in 2001, and earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lakehead University in 2003. Before joining Baird Construction, Shawn worked with Thomas Fuller Construction Co. 1958 Ltd. (Ottawa), where, as project manager, he was instrumental in completing commercial and institutional projects totaling in excess of $30 million. Shawn holds the prestigious Gold Seal Certification for Project Management awarded by the Canadian Construction Association. |

Keith Riley, a graduate of Algonquin College (Ottawa), has been an integral part of the Baird Construction team since 1991. Keith was instrumental in the successful and timely completion of numerous commercial projects, for the private sector and all levels of government, including Defence Construction Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Housing, and various municipal corporations. In his current capacity as estimator and project manager, Keith brings extensive knowledge of construction costs, subcontractors and material suppliers. |
